National Stage

Stainton Lee Brown a Year 13 student was chosen to represent the National Schools Shakespeare group and recently performed Richard 111 at Parliament and Scotts College. Earlier in the year he performed at the National stage of the University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare festival with 14 other Piopio College students who were chosen to represent Taranaki region. It was during his performance of Cardinal Wolsey in Shakespeare’s Henry V111 that he was spotted. While in Wellington and as a member of the NSSP he attended week long workshops which gave students a chance to immerse themselves in the works of the Great Bard and work alongside Kiwi directors.

Next year Stainton will be attending the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (NASDA) and we wish him all the best for an exciting future.
