Piopio College is a co-educational secondary school serving an extensive area in the western North Island of New Zealand. Piopio is about 100km south of Hamilton, on State Highway 3.

We see education as a partnership between students, parents, staff and the wider community. We find strength in working together in a caring, family environment that encourages students to develop their potential to the full.

Strong emphasis is placed on meeting the needs of individual students.

Academic achievement is highly valued. We promote personal growth that develops tolerance, understanding and respect for each other.

We recognise and encourage understanding of New Zealand's dual cultural heritage and increasing diversity.

The College provides opportunities for leadership, cultural and sporting participation. We value students' contributions.

School is more than just a place where students learn. It is an enriching, rewarding experience that sets a foundation for lifelong learning.

The College is set in a well developed, park like environment. We have great sporting facilities, including a gym, 400m athletic track, 25m swimming pool, hockey, football and rugby pitches, netball and tennis courts and cricket wickets. A raised bank, with mature deciduous shade trees, provides good spectator viewing over much of the grounds.
