Year 7 & 8
The Year 7 and 8 students spend most of their time in Homeroom learning Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Social Studies.

Science, Te Reo Maori, Physical Education, Health, Technology (Digital Fluency), Citizenship and Literacy, and Music (Itinerant Program) are taught by subject specialists using specialist equipment and facilities. Students will also take Art, Hard Materials and Food Technology for a third of the year in rotation.

Year 9 and Year 10

Year 9 students are taught English, Maths, Social Sciences, Science, Te Ao Maori, Physical Education and Health throughout the year and complete short courses in Art, Food and Fabric Technology, Digital Technology, Technology Hard Materials, Agriculture and Horticulture.

These subjects follow a 'core theme' that will be used to provide relevance and buy in from ākonga.  Last years theme was 'local resources'.

Our goal is to move towards courses where students will pick a topic, like 'Professional Athlete' and it will have multiple subjects in it.

Year 11-13
All learning programmes offer the  opportunity for students to gain credits towards their NCEA qualification.
Course options for senior students include English, Te Ao Maori, Geography, Maths, History, General Science, Agriculture/Horticultural Science, Technology (Textiles or Wood), Physical Education, Outdoor Education, Health, Tourism, Hospitality, Visual Arts, Maori Performing Arts and Biology.

Physics, Chemistry, Music, Art History, Economics, Media Studies, Business Studies and Languages are taught via correspondence.
